UP Board Results 2016 Date

UP Board Results 2016 to be published late

The last date for evaluation of answer sheets for class 10 and 12 exams has been extended from April 13 to April 19 by Uttar Pradesh Board. The reason for this extension is because of Secondary Education Teachers' Association has called for a total state wide boycott of invigilation duties. Teachers' associations says that as the government has failed to meet their demands like payment of outstanding dues of evaluation work, deduction of amount under new pension schemes for teachers of government aided schools and fixation of minimum wages for teachers of unaided schools.

Previously, the evaluation work was to be completed from March 30 to April 13 and the UP Board 2015 Results were to be announced by April end. The evaluation is to be done across 232 centres, by one lakh teachers appointed to examine the test copies of around one crore students. The UP Board has also introduced the system of panel examination, where a candidate's copy is evaluated by a panel of examiners after it has been evaluated by the two examiners selected for the purpose in different subjects. The Madhyamik Shiksha Parishad(UP Board) informed that this work was to scheduled to be completed within 15 days, but its already more than 21 days now.

All over boycott and protests have led the Government to increase the evaluation allowance. So from now onwards, teachers who check high school answer sheets will be paid Rs 8 per copy, up from Rs 6 previously and teachers who check intermediate answer sheets will be paid Rs 10 instead of the previous Rs 7. This hike will cost the UP government an additional Rs. 18 crore per year. But the teachers association has welcomed the move. The government is planning to regularise ad-hoc teachers within six months and start the procedure of payment to honorarium to teachers of unaided schools after the evaluation of answer sheets is completed.
